Renowned Business Tycoon and industrialist, Dame Yinka Obaleye commits to partnering with the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland to realize his developmental objectives.
Ilesa erupted in joy on Friday, October 31, 2025, as Owa Obokun and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, ceremoniously crowned accomplished business leader, Dame Yinka Obaleye, as the first-ever Yeye Owa of Ijesaland.
The Owa Obokun asserted that Chief Mrs. Obaleye, also known as Yinka Oba, merits the title in light of her achievements and contributions to the advancement of Ijesaland.
He stated his preference for conferring titles on individuals of high moral standing rather than those with questionable character who would inflict hardship on the masses.
In her acceptance speech, the Yeye Owa stated that she had been declining offers from numerous monarchs to receive chieftaincy titles, but accepted the Owa's offer due to his sincere efforts to restore order to Ijesaland and promote its development.
Chief Mrs Obaleye promised to join kabiyesi in the effort at making Ijesaland great again.
